Poultry Disease Manual: Characteristics and Control of Infections
by Antonio Zanella
This is a short manual on infectious diseases, mostly of intensively-reared domestic poultry. This review is a mixture of data reported concerning various diseases and their epidemiology, clinical signs, lesions, diagnostics and their control through biosecurity measures, treatment and vaccinations.
This review is not completely original, but is obviously a mixture of data reported by many eminent Colleagues, Researchers or Practitioners, with the addition o f my own personal observations, derived from more than 50 years of intensive experience in poultry pathology. My only merit, I repeat, has been to collect and update the knowledge on the various diseases regarding their epidemiology, clinical signs, lesions, diagnostics and, obviously, their control through biosecurity measures, treatments and vaccinations.
